Tibalt

Tibalt

The youngest of a brood of seventeen scruffy little octopuses, Tiblat devotes his young life to every bit of mischief within reach. He is known throughout the seabed. He is the one who hides the favourite shell of the old octopus who has gone blind, the one who lurks in the shadows of the seaweed to frighten the anemones, the one who, in a matter of seconds, swaps a plump oyster destined for a feast with an old piece of rubbish straight from the human world. His days pass by, punctuated by the cries of some and the sighs of others. He knows he ought to be wiser. But living on the edge of a scolding is the only thing that truly excites him. Yet when evening comes, he enjoys setting aside his troublemaking nature to become once again a simple little furry octopus, curling up among his mother's tentacles, always ready to welcome him, no matter how impressive the day's harvest of mischief may have been.
